Dr Keith w Roberts is a photographic educator, researcher and practitioner who has worked within the discipline of photography for over 30 years.
Currently Vice Dean at the Faculty of Art and Design in The British University in Egypt (Cairo), he is also Associate Professor of Photography and Head of Department for Graphics and Media. Previously he worked at The University of Bolton on both the M.A. and B.A. Photography programmes, along with PhD supervision from 2020. Prior to this he was Programme Leader for the B.A. in Photography at Liverpool John Moores University and The University of Chester (through St Helens College).
Having also previously worked freelance for publications such as ID Magazine, FACE Magazine and SAAB Magazine, his work has been published both nationally and internationally.
Keith's research deals specifically with photographic portraiture and archival intervention. Having completed a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University which focused upon the commercial portraiture component of the Edward Chambre Hardman photographic portraiture archive (Liverpool Central Library), more details about this research can be found here: www.hardmanportrait.format.com
Keith also holds an M.A. in Fine Art from the University of Central Lancashire and an M.B.A. in International Business from Edge Hill University. He is also an External Examiner for Liverpool John Moores University and Staffordshire University, having previously held EE posts since 2012 for Falmouth, Sheffield Hallam, Teesside and Salford Universities.
